Below is a brief summary on the different aspects that make Storyteller such a unique experience. Read on to the different sections to find out more!
To bridge a divide in the gaming community between hardcore role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons or Pathfinder, and more straightforward board-gaming experiences like Monopoly or Munchkin.
I want to remove the fear of playing more complex games by creating one that sits neatly in the middle.
One player is The Storyteller, also commonly known as a "Games Master" or "Dungeon Master". Your objective is to facilitate the game for your Adventurers, and help run the story.
The other players are Adventurers, hardy heroes that are trying to save the world from an undead plague! Your objective is to travel the world, defeating boss enemies along the way.
Combat is straightforward, with a tactical edge that makes the experience very rewarding.
Exploration Encounters offer a more peaceful option to combat, and are generally much quicker to get through. The Storyteller will read a card, and give the player the choices laid out on the card.
Seventh century Earth is embroiled in a bitter war between the forces of good and evil. For the last three centuries, heroes from across the globe have attempted to stem the tide of undead from taking over the world but their efforts have been in vain.
A brilliant mage hatched a plan to trap the world in a year long time loop, so that the forces of good might stand a chance, and defeat the forces of evil once and for all.
It’s up to brave Adventurers to defeat the unstoppable Undead within a year or the world is lost!
The Fighter is a brute. Big and strong, slow but dependable. The Fighter's skills rely on pulling attention towards themselves, and away from the rest of the team.
The Assassin is dangerous. They're quick and nimble, deadly and unpredictable. The Assassin's skills allow for the greatest output of damage, in as short a time as possible.
The Mage is cunning. The most versatile of the characters, you'll be dishing out damage and healing it too, to make sure you or your party are on top form.
